Estimates based on 1/4 cup serving

Raw: sliced, chopped (about 1/3 of a peach, about 8 1/2 servings per pound)

Cooked: baked (about 7 servings per pound)

Have fruit salad on the menu every week or two. Use up any fresh fruit before going bad.  Add canned fruit until you have enough for everyone.  This also helps because you get mixed fruit with no grapes or cherries.

Can cut up and dehydrate any remaining fruit.

Peach cobbler:  put sliced peaches in the bottom of a baking pan.  Mix oatmeal, brown sugar, and melted butter/margarine.  Crumble the oatmeal mix on top of the peaches.  This counts as a fruit and whole grain serving. Can also top with a biscuit mix (although that isn’t usually a whole grain, but it is a grain serving)
